Because of this, there was no doubt in people’s minds that this new girl group would be just as successful. Aside from 2NE1, the company is also home to other successful groups, such as Big Bang, iKon, and Winner. 2NE1 is undoubtedly one of the most successful Korean girl groups, even after numerous scandals and the sudden departure of Minzy. It was earlier this year when YG Entertainment announced that they were debuting a new girl group, and since then, people have been hyped. Finally, after seven long years, YG Entertainment debuts their first girl group since 2NE1: BLACKPINK.
